GOOD DEED ENTERTAINMENT is seeking a Digital Media Operations Executive to organize and coordinate delivery of media assets between the company and its vendors and partners. The ideal candidate will be familiar with digital media post-production workflows, be able to fulfill delivery specifications for a variety of contexts and partners, and have excellent technical troubleshooting abilities. Preference will be given to candidates with significant experience in digital video editing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organize and manage digital media assets for all divisions of Good Deed Entertainment
  • Manage delivery intake from licensors and vendors
  • Manage platform delivery requests for digital distribution platforms and broadcasters
  • Coordinate delivery operations with film labs
  • Ensure quality & timely deliveries within budget
  • Ensure proper data backup and security
  • Keep company file servers organized
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical and deliverables issues
  • Manage post-production supply chain for all business streams
  • Determine technical and delivery best practices
  • Initiate and maintain platform, vendor and licensor relationships
  • Work closely with digital platforms to increase and maintain acceptable digital scorecards
  • Negotiate favorable pricing and terms with vendors
  • Coordinate third-party Quality Assurance reviews
  • Assemble checklists of required documentation into delivery binders
  • Transfer digital media assets and prepare dailies during film production
  • Edit marketing and promo assets, such as trailer cutdowns, film clips, sizzle reels, behind the scenes, etc.
  • Prepare and upload assets and metadata for YouTube, Vimeo and social media platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years experience in digital media post-production, media platform delivery operations, and/or media-related IT work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with swift response turnaround.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Exceptional project management skills under strict deadlines with complex dependencies
  • Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, especially in digital video and audio
  • Experience with digital video and audio post-production workflows, including video editing, sound editing, and media compression (especially with Adobe products)
  • Familiarity with various digital video delivery specifications and formats
  • Experience with various internet file transfers protocols, including FTP, Aspera, Dropbox, Sharepoint, etc.
  • Readiness to learn and innovate technical workflows

Intern — Development and Distribution

Good Deed Entertainment is seeking interns who will learn the ins-and-outs of an independent feature film studio through hands-on experience across all our feature film divisions: development, production, distribution, acquisitions, and marketing. Interns will read and analyze a high volume of scripts and books, watch and evaluate movie screeners, research projects and talent, assist with scheduling and office organization, prepare materials for marketing and festivals, and complete a variety of other tasks across divisions. Miscellaneous responsibilities, depending on interest, may include on-set production assistance, social media management, updating websites and screening schedules, video editing, and writing pitches and treatments.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, excellent communication & organization skills, and a desire to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Preference is given to individuals with experience in film & media production or screenwriting.

Required Education:

  • Undergraduate or Graduate student enrolled in an accredited College or University degree program in Film & Media or a related field.

When:

  • Internship runs from Mid September through December 2019 (depending on your school schedule)

Requirements:

  • Time commitment of 8 to 20 hours per week (15-20 preferred).
  • Strong independent work ethic & time management
  • Collaborative attitude
  • Must provide own housing and transportation to and from our headquarters in Ashland, OH.

Intern — Marketing and Graphic Design

Good Deed Entertainment is seeking interns who will learn the ins-and-outs of an independent feature film studio through hands-on experience in Marketing as part of the Acquisitions and Distribution department.

Interns will assist with the coordination and execution of the company’s social media strategy on a corporate and title-by-title basis working across channels including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. The successful candidate will employ innovative tactics to grow audiences of each of the social media accounts and be responsible for contributing to website redesign projects, monitoring and posting on blogs and social networks, engaging in online forums, participating in online outreach and promotion, optimizing our website and conducting keyword analysis.

This role offers the intern a total immersion into a busy independent feature film studio and the successful candidate will work closely with key members of staff, external social media and marketing consultants, and the studio’s producers and filmmakers. Marketing interns will report to the Marketing Manager and V.P. of Acquisitions and Distribution.

Interns will also have a key project initiative assigned to them based on personal or academic interest, which may include on-set production assistance, copywriting, social media management, website maintenance, video and podcast editing.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, excellent communication & organization skills, and a desire to pursue a career in the entertainment
industry. Preference is given to individuals with experience in film & media production, screenwriting, and graphic design.
