Scott Donley’s entrance to filmmaking began when he executive produced the gripping documentary NEVER A NEVERLAND about the African nation of Swaziland’s pandemic of HIV/AIDS moving its kingdom toward extinction. Donley then produced the feature TOMORROW YOU’RE GONE, starring Willem Dafoe, Michelle Monaghan, and Stephen Dorff. Donley joined forces with well-respected industry veteran Leonard Shapiro to form Good Deed Entertainment. The two began developing numerous projects designed for the multiplatform marketplace. Within the first year they produced two features: TAKEN AWAY, an emotionally charged drama, and LUCKY DOG, a lighthearted family comedy. TAKEN AWAY premiered on LMN® in 2014 and was one of the highest rated LMN® films of the year. With a strong background as a successful businessman prior to pursuing film, Donley brings a wealth of business knowledge to every deal he makes for GDE.
Leonard Shapiro is a seasoned industry veteran who provides GDE with his wealth of entertainment business knowledge, experience, instincts, and connections. Shapiro joined GDE as president and COO in 2013. In less than a year, Shapiro and GDE Founder and CEO Scott Donley expanded the independent studio to include acquisitions as well as production, financing and distribution. Together they have produced three feature films: TOMORROW YOU’RE GONE, starring Willem Dafoe, Michelle Monaghan and Stephen Dorff; LUCKY DOG, a light-hearted comedy; and TAKEN AWAY, a charged moving drama. TAKEN AWAY premiered on LMN® in 2014 and was one of the highest rated LMN® films of the year.
Prior to joining GDE, Shapiro served as President and CEO of Shapiro Glickenhaus Entertainment (SGE) from 1976-1996. As an independent production company with its own foreign sales department and an exclusive distribution arrangement with MCA/Universal Home Video, SGE is credited with some 76 feature films. Additionally, Shapiro has served as an IFTA member of the Board of Directors for the American Film Market, spent 14 years teaching independent film production and distribution for the film entertainment program at UCLA Extension, and has had associations with more than 100 international media companies, including ABC, NBC, Miramax, New Line Cinema and Artisan Entertainment.
After graduating from Temple University's Film & Media Arts program in 2011 with an award-winning short film in tow, Meghan worked on multiple independent feature and short films before becoming a writer and production coordinator for a boutique television promotions company in Philadelphia. There, she wrote and helped produce promos for such clients as National Geographic Channel and A&E for national and international audiences. Upon moving to Los Angeles, she worked with top clientele at Paradigm Talent Agency before making the full transition into the independent film market as a writer and development coordinator for GDE.
An east coast native, Nikki Stier has been living and working in Los Angeles since 2010. She received her BS in Entrepreneurship from Babson College before continuing her education with an MFA in Film & Television Producing from UCLA’s esteemed program. Immediately following graduation, Nikki began working at Twentieth Century Fox in the Motion Picture Production department, where she was directly involved in the development of projects including CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE, INDEPENDENCE DAY 2, and THE SCORCH TRIALS. Additionally, she assisted in the production of the YA blockbuster hit THE MAZE RUNNER. As Director of Development at GDE, Nikki utilizes her experiences at the studio level while applying her own unique tastes to the company’s diverse slate.
As Director of Acquisitions at Good Deed Entertainment, Brandon Hill oversees the company’s acquisitions department and contributes to the overall distribution strategy, in addition to finding partners for co-financing and international distribution on productions. Prior to joining GDE, Hill was the Acquisitions & Marketing Manager at Echo Bridge Entertainment, where he facilitated the acquisition of feature films and series for the worldwide marketplace and coordinated every aspect of the company's involvement in the international film and television markets. Additionally, Hill has vast experience working on such productions as Fox's American Idol, Fox Reality Channel's Sex Decoy: Love Stings, and the A&E pilot Love Shaq starring Shaquille O'Neal. Hill received his BA in Film and Media Production from Arizona State University in 2009.

Kristin Harris is a seasoned film executive who has spent the past decade in the independent distribution space. Prior to joining Good Deed Entertainment, she served in key acquisitions, development, and production roles at studios like Starz Media, Overture Films, and most recently, Cinedigm Entertainment Group. Experienced in both narrative and documentary content, Ms Harris has been involved in the acquisition and release of hundreds of titles, including THE VISITOR, SUNSHINE CLEANING, TRAITOR, THE CRAZIES, LAW ABIDING CITIZEN, THE INVISIBLE WAR, SHORT TERM 12, NARCO CULTURA, NIGHT MOVES, SONG ONE, AFTERNOON DELIGHT, MEADOWLAND and LIFE. Ms Harris is an alumna of UCLA where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature. In addition to her duties at Good Deed Entertainment, she also teaches Marketing and Distribution of Independent Films for UCLA Extension’s Arts and Entertainment department.
